The trip is divided into three parts. From Zurich to Schaffhausen, the line is operated by the SBB on a regional train. From Schaffhausen to Munich, the line is operated by the German railway service on a high-speed train. From Munich to Prague, the line is operated by Czech high-speed and regional trains. All trains run on electricity consuming the mix of the country they cross. The total travel distance is 1,750km. The emissions include the construction, maintenance, and dismantling of the railways, the train, and the train stations, as well as the electricity consumed in the three countries.
