We consider that 50 emails are exchanged (1 email sent for 10 received, spam is filtered with 100% accuracy) per day for a year. It takes 3 times as much time to write an email than to read it on a computer. Each email weighs on average 1Mb and is never deleted. The emissions include the production and dismantling of a computer, as well as the use of the internet network and data centers running of the global electricity mix.
